About Stan & Cheryl Sanger

Stan and Cheryl grew up in different parts of rural, central Wisconsin. Stan attended a mainline denomination church with his parents, one sister and three brothers. After graduation from high school, he went away to college at the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh, where he met his wife, Cheryl. It was during those first years following college and in the early years of marriage that Stan and Cheryl had a growing sense of something missing in their lives. Through the ministry of God's people and God's Word, they came to realize that it was not "something" but Someone who was missing, and they received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

Stan was working in the field of personnel administration, when he felt the call of God to full-time ministry and attended Columbia Biblical Seminary (Columbia, SC). After graduating, he pastored two Christian and Missionary Alliance churches in Indiana and Pennsylvania, became Assistant District Superintendent, and served with The Orchard Foundation. He also earned a Doctor of Ministry degree from Biblical Theological Seminary. More recently, Stan has been led into interim pastoral ministry, having served churches in Lancaster and Palmyra prior to coming to Wellspring Community Church.

Stan's public ministry is strongly supported behind-the-scenes by Cheryl, who also works part-time as a registered nurse. Stan and Cheryl have three adult children and one granddaughter. They are excited about the ministry at Wellspring and invite others to join in the journey and "grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."

Stan Sanger begins his ministry with Wellspring on September 27, 2009.
