Ministries

1 Peter 4:10 — As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

We believe that every member of the church is a "minister" with a unique gift and calling to serve. We help members to identify, develop, and utilize their God-given gifts to serve the church, community, and world. There are many opportunities to get involved at Wellspring and to utilize your God-given gifts. Some of these are listed below:

Food Pantry
The Wellspring Food Pantry is located in one of the rooms of the Sunday School wing of the church building. The Pantry helps to meet the spiritual and dietary needs of approximately fifteen families in the community. There are many opportunities to contribute to this ministry as buyers, stockers, baggers, and counselors. This is a great opportunity to extend the mercy of God to those in need.

Small Groups
These small groups meet either in member's homes or at the church building. They provide a healthy and safe environment for relationships to flourish and generally include fellowship, study and application of the Bible, personal ministry, and prayer.

Children
We view children as an important part of the congregation and believe it is important to lay strong foundations of character, wisdom, and biblical truth in their lives. We invest in them through our Sunday School at 9:30 am and through equipping parents in biblical principles of child training.

Family Life
We view the cultivation of strong marriages and families as essential to fulfilling God's purposes in our day. To accomplish this, we provide instruction through small groups, preaching, counseling, mentoring, and various written materials.

Prayer
Prayer is essential to release the power of God in his church.  We provide prayer meetings on Sunday 9:00 am and midweek at various times for the congregation to engage in this vital ministry.

Evangelism
We equip people for evangelism through preaching, small groups, and written materials.  We encourage friendship evangelism through a three-fold process of prayer, care, and share.  Prayer is praying diligently for people who don't know Jesus in our circle of acquaintances.  Care is reaching out to these same people and looking for opportunities to share the love of Jesus by listening, building a relationship, and serving them.  Share is looking for an opportunity to share the Gospel so these people can come to know Jesus.

Missions
We provide opportunities for the congregation to be involved in supporting missions in various ways.  One way is to present a monthly "missions moment" to the congregation.  Another way is to be involved in our missions conference, pray for missionaries, and give financially to missions efforts.

Fellowship
We provide regular opportunities for the congregation to have fun and fellowship together.  Some of the ways are snack time after church, sharing meals, and various outings.
