About Wellspring: Our Vision

A picture of where we believe God is taking us as a church:

While we acknowledge that there are many valid emphases for churches to have, we believe that God has called Wellspring to three particular emphases: God-encounter, relational, and outreach. Our vision for each of these emphases is described below.

God-Encounter

  • Lead people both in our church and in our community to encounter God in life-transforming ways.

  • Provide the opportunity for people to be baptized in the Holy Spirit.

  • Grow in our passion to know God and in our ability to hear God's voice.

  • Experience an ever-increasing intensity of God's presence among us.

  • Encourage all of the expressions of worship found in the Bible.

Relational

  • Cultivate healthy relationships with others including healthy marriages and families.

  • Provide opportunities for safe and caring relationships of deep connection and love to be cultivated so that we can share our burdens with one another and minister to one another through the exercise of the gifts of the Holy Spirit (all of which are available to believers today).

  • Cultivate a high degree of harmony in our congregation by resolving conflicts Biblically.

  • Have others know that we are Jesus' disciples by the way that we love one another.

Outreach

  • Cultivate an aggressive mindset that lost people matter to God and so they matter to us.
  • Network with others in our circles of influence, build relationships, and lead others to a relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Equip the body for evangelism and provide opportunities to contribute to overseas missions.
  • Engage with other churches and ministries both locally and globally to share the good news of Jesus Christ in our community, region, and world.
  • Demonstrate the love of Christ in practical ways to those around us, particularly to the vulnerable in our society such as those who are struggling financially, divorced, widowed, or orphaned.
